Martin Cuthbert

Managing Director

Martin commenced his career working in nurseries. He developed a passion for combining Horticulture with Landscape Design, and with 3 years Nursery experience he moved to working for Landscape Contractors in the Eastern States and Perth, W.A. After 5 years’ working for others on soft and hardscapes, Martin commenced Martin Cuthbert Landscapes, now Martin Cuthbert Landscapes, in 1985.

Martin is the creative backbone of the business combining Landscape Design with his this with his love of music. Sometimes referred to as the “aged rocker”, Martin is the drummer in bands such as LandSlide, The Subdividers, and Twenty Feet Beat (TFB) beat

With over 40 year’s industry experience, Martin Cuthbert offers extensive Landscape Design, Project Management, SME Business Management and Landscape construction and design installation experience, to Clients.

Liz Cuthbert

Contracts Management

Liz has in excess of thirty years SME business Administration experience, with 18 years in the Landscape Industry.

Liz combines extensive industry experience, with a strong background in administration, accounting and contract’s management.  Combined with her excellent communication skills and attention to detail, Liz offers Client’s the perfect conduit into the Company, its operations, and management team.

Liz is the “the glue that holds Martin Cuthbert Landscapes together”; demonstrating the perseverance and integrity that every business requires to deliver the best outcome for our Clients.

Jenny Smith

Senior Horticulturist & Maintenance Manager

Jenny has in excess of 30 years’ experience in horticulture.  She has worked alongside Martin for 20 plus years and offers the Martin Cuthbert Landscapes Clients the certainty that the best plant choices will be made, sourcing is assured to meet project timelines, and soil preparation and planting is completed to ensure plants not only stay alive, they thrive.

Jenny is our senior Horticulturalist, supporting Martin’s creative designs, advising our Maintenance Team on plant, pest and disease knowledge and training, and is a key resource to the Commercial and Residential construction teams.


Georgie, our Bernese Mountain Dog offers that extra bit of love and laughter around the office, or as Roger Caras (photographer and writer) is quoted as saying “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”

Georgie might have been breed in Perth, however she’s pure Swiss Alps class. We don’t need Georgie to herd cattle or pull heavy carts. We have Georgie around for pats, cuddles and big friendly bumps, guaranteed whenever needed.
